Hello! My name is Clarissa! Photography and people are my passion! I love love love doing portraiture photography! I specialize in families, kids, newborns, maternity, senior portraits, engagement, and wedding portraits. I have been doing photography for over 20 years and started photography business over 10+ years ago. I currently reside on beachside in Daytona Beach, Florida. I made a leap of faith and decided to move my family and I from California last year, and we love it here!
I'm easy going and pride myself on making everyone feel comfortable in front of the camera. I love to make my photography sessions fun for everyone. During my photography journey, I have been self taught and taught professionally for all the different types of portraits.
I fell back into photography from my high school days. I would snap my 35mm film photos and take them back to the darkroom to develop them to see how the images turned out. Photography has definitely come a long way with digital images. Back then you weren't even able to see how your images were until you developed it (I just made myself sound really old)! Now I've made the transition to digital photography. I've rekindled my love for photography after my baby was born and so now here I am, and I love it. I made the investment to doing something more than just taking pictures of my kids and family. Now I can share my talent and offer it to you.
I use a mixture of natural and artificial lighting for most all of my portraits. Natural light gives the best overall lighting on the color spectrum, and can be used in ways that you can't achieve with artificial lighting. However, artificial lighting can overpower any poor lighting situation. I love taking all type of photos and don't limit myself to just a single type of portraiture. Its been so rewarding to work with my current clients, and to meet new ones. I have met so many wonderful people throughout this journey, and have made some fabulous new friends! I feel blessed and privileged to be able to be a part of the people and families that I have met. I hope that you can see my love for photography shine through in my work. I strive to make all of my clients happy, and I spend a lot of time to make my client's portraits special and beautiful!
